Chicks and Greens

April 10, 2011

The reality of started seeds and started chickens makes me almost irrationally happy. ^ is joy. It’s hard to be mad when there’s green life surrounding you on a gray day and impossible to be upset with the cheepcheep of little cottonballs functioning as your ambient noise. It’s a shame that I’ll be at the ranch when all these plant and animal babies reach their vegetable bearing and egg laying maturity, but it’s a wonderful preview of what’s to come when I finally settle down and have a coop and garden of my own.

Oh man. That looks SO delicious. What have you all got? I really wish I could grow stuff. I can barely even keep the hardiest houseplants alive.

What are you going to do with all the greens and chickens when you’re at the ranch?
